Exmouth, Sidmouth and across East Devon

Acupuncture was first developed over 2000 years ago in China.  It is now commonly recognised as being effective for use as a complimentary treatment to western medicine.  It has virtually no side effects, being one of the safest treatments available in the UK, when practiced by properly trained practitioners.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of ultra fine needles into certain points in the body, mostly on the lower arms and legs. Research into Acupuncture has shown that it is thought to stimulate the nervous system, induces analgesia (pain relief), protects the body against infections and regulates various physiological functions which promote physical and emotional changes. Evidence based clinical research shows acupuncture safely treats a wide range of common health problems.

More information about acupuncture can be found on the British Acupuncture Council website, which is the main and largest regulatory body for acupuncturists in the UK who are suitably trained and qualified.
